Cherry Blossom Bunny Polka Dot Teapot Personal Teapot

This one of a kind hand formed and sculpted porcelaneous clay teapot was carefully hand thrown in several pieces and then fitted and attached to become one. The lid was thrown to fit into the pot and a small lounging bunny was sculpted to become the handle for the teapots lid. Flowers but isn't fit for loose leaf teapot to be let loose inside to steep. All the designs were hand drawn and painted after the pieces went through and initial bisque firing. Then I paint the bunny with a deep velvety black underglaze that remains glaze free after all is finished. The body I glazed with multiple glazes and it's fired to stoneware temperature of 2232F
The foot and gallery for the lid are polished smooth. All glazes and finishes are food safe. The piece should be hand washed to care best for it but I use a dishwasher myself and find my pots are fine. The glaze just degrades more in the dishwasher due to its acidity, so hand washing is best.
